Sketchbook - Need (1) of the sketchbooks below.

Choose which size you are comfortable with. Some students prefer to work larger while other students like working smaller. I highly recommend Stillman & Birn (Epsilon Series, the one I personally use) The paper is great quality, takes water well. Will stay flat during hatching, colored pencil layering and erasing.

Brushes (Yea, a brush!)

Fineliner Pens - Need (1) one of the sets below.

Colored Pencils - You will need (1) professional colored pencils set, 24 count or higher.

For colored pencil brands, please stay away from any pencils like Crayola, or colored pencils that say "basics" on the package. We need to have good quality coverage and layering that only wax based or oil based color pencils can provide.

Graphite Stick - You will need just (1)

Lyra Graphite Crayon, Water-Soluble, 9B Hardness, Black, 1-Pack

Slip Sheets - You will need just (1) box

Baking Parchment Paper, cheap is perfect & best! You can find this at any grocery store.


Optionals:
  • Slippers, You may want to bring a pair or wear warm socks with you. 
  • Lap blanket if you find comfort.
  • Note pad & pen.
  • Scrap paper to test line work.
  • Apron or smock.
  • Snack, coffee, tea, bottled water, drink with lid
  • Any drawing supplies you love to use like markers, ball or gel pens, etc.

My art studio will provide for your use while in studio:
  • Paper towels

  • Erasers
  • Binder clip(s)
  • Tissues
  • Newsprint
  • Copy paper
  • ...and other bits of supplies for lessons.
  • Workbook that I crafted for you to refer to & accompany corresponding session.
